Welcome!
Our Plans For Lich King
Okay... A lot of people have been asking about when we are going to have Lich King. I know this may disappoint some of you, but we will not have the same release date of LK during Retail’s launch phase. Note, Scape is a "holding tank" for players who either:

1. Can not afford to play Retail for a period of time due to job loss, finances, etc. OR
2. Get bored with content and would leave WoW all together in search of another game.

Instead, SCAPE hopes that people WILL support Retail during the launch of WOTLK, as most of our players already do.

New content drives Retail. And everyone who enjoys WoW in the world is dependent upon Retail doing well. Scape is not here to compete with Retail’s product. Their game will always be bug free, low on hackers, and most up to date.

We separate ourselves from other servers who are hosting Lich before or even immediately after Retail’s product launch. Remember when Burning Crusade came out? We took a little time to incorporate it on our servers... but not too long. Keep being the great community that you are... and keep supporting retail when you can.

Top100 Situation
Man, I hate making post like this. Alright so as I am sure you guys have noticed... the top100 account got hijacked again. Let me explain what happened. When Silent made his apology here, he also told me that he had sent an e-mail to the owner of Top100 to transfer over ownership of the account. When I e-mailed Jawn to follow up on it, he said that he never received it. At that point, I sent Silent a MSN that I needed him to resend it and to cc my lawyer on it. It would be much easier to deal with it if he had all the correspondence going on with anything having to do with transfer of ownership. Anyway... Silent then gave Trelorn my attorney's e-mail address and then Trelorn sent a message pretty much making some false accusations and asked if I was in fact his client. My attorney then obviously asked me what was that all about, being that they normally do not get e-mails of the such from kids and obviously, Trelorn doesn't know what is appropriate and not appropriate to do in the business world lol.

Silent let the account sit and he let you guys work up the votes on it to get it to number one and then stole you guys votes that you made for us not them. It is pretty much the lowest the have sunk to, and I just don't understand why they have no pride like this. To look as if they have earned that spot, but in fact they haven't and they are just SPITTING on their members by doing that and basically saying that what they do isn't good enough.

To WoM members Hexen and Scyth, they don't deserve you. Thank you to both of you for having your open and not blindly following the pack. It was good to see you guys stick up for what is right and speak out against what is wrong.

Silent's comment... "There shouldn't be any problems with it.. they got their own account." well then why did you wait until we got your account to number one before you took it over? Using other people's success to your gain when you haven't earned it!

To WoWScape family... we all know where we should be. All of the votes that have gone to that account and to our new one combined would have put us well in the lead for number 1. We can have pride though, we EARN our merrits and we EARN our way. We don't piggytail off of anyone and we don't ride coat tails. WE ARE NUMBER 1!

Edit: They also attached our banner to their old other account on top100 to make it look like it was ours but it links through to them. Our account is scape gaming. Ya, they are that lame

Wowscape Is Getting A Complete Makeover
Hi to everyone, and I hope that you guys have been enjoying some of the recent changes that have been made to the servers.

We have more to come! The biggest project we have going on right now, is our new website! The staff is incredibly bogged down right now, so I have hired a firm who specializes in custom websites and applications. We have four people on our project. One is the project manager, one deals with Flash, one deals with graphics, and one does the PHP. We will be laying out more details of the new site in the following days as far as features and so on. As you can see from my post in the shoutbox. We have also changed the name of our network. It will now be called Scape Gaming! We felt that it was just a good fit and didn't limit us to WOW in the future. Yes, we are considering other games, but right now our focus is on our WOW servers and fixing everything that we can. We feel that it is not inappropriate though to go ahead and look to our future and make the name change now while we are doing our new site. Of course, wowscape.net will resolve to the new URL so that nobody gets left out of the loop.

We look forward to our networks future and our future with you, our scape family!

New Wowscape Think Tank Team
We will be creating a new part of Scape over the next few weeks and it's purpose is to streamline our creative process in figuring out many issues with Scape. We have the most wonderful community when it comes to ideas that would make things at Scape even better then they are... unfortunately, because of our size, it becomes cumbersome and unproductive to read through all the post with the attention that should be given to them. We have to have a set of people who can read over all of it and us then come together devising plans of what Scape will implement.

The person who is ideal for a spot like this on Scape is one who's ideas seem to be very well thought out and do not just say "We want ____ ____ ____. Someone who can look at both sides of the spectrum. Sometimes, we would like to implement something, but in the end, the risk are too high, or there is too much area of unkown that could hurt us in the long run. Sometimes even something that would seem like a simple decision, such as voting rewards and so on, has to be a very well thought out choice. Once you implement something, it can really hurt the server, but you can also not go back and take it back without having to wipe or do something drastic. That is how we have avoided wipes and hurdles in the last year and a half. We think things through very hard before we do it and we are not too fast to jump on any decisions.

The think tank team will be small. It will be by invitation only. There will not be applications. We will decide who we want on the team by watching the forums very closely. When we find someone who's post history reflects the ability to carry out ideas and suggestions in a well thought out delivery, has a very mature attitude, is a very loyal member to our community, and who we feel would make a great addition to the "think tank" sessions that the Execs have, then they will be approached about joining the team.

We do closely monitor other forums. We are aware of the members who are playing two sides of the fence... YES, even if they go under a different name, and they will not be a good fit for this team. Think Tank members will be very focussed on Scape being the most evolving, thriving, and just best overall servers out there. Not all think tank members would necessarily make the best in game staff member. Just as not all in game staff members will be part of the think tank team. There are members of the community that I think maybe brilliant business minded people, but there is no way that I would give them power in the game lol. When we pinpoint someone that we are interested in, we will start to research their history with Scape and also do some checking about other servers and possible involvement with them. It will take a while to get someone on once we set our sites on them.

I can't tell you how excited I am about this new group. I look forward to brainstorming and "figuring it all out" with a group of people who I admire for their wisdom and ability to look at things not only from a players point of view but from a server management point of view.
